เมื่อวันที่ 20 เมษายน 2558 ร้อยโทจอมพละ เจริญยิ่ง เอกอัครราชทูตผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจำอาเซียน ณ กรุงจาการ์ตา เข้าร่วมการประชุม ASEAN-Canada Joint Coordination Committee ครั้งที่ 3 ที่สำนักเลขาธิการอาเซียน กรุงจาการ์ตา

การประชุมดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นเป็นประจำทุกปีและถือเป็นกลไกสำคัญในการติดตามและทบทวนโครงการความร่วมมือต่างๆ ระหว่างอาเซียนกับแคนาดา โดยในการประชุมครั้งนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือและแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับแนวทางในการส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์อาเซียน-แคนาดาในด้านต่างๆ เช่น การส่งเสริมความเชื่อมโยงในอาเซียน การค้าและการลงทุน และ การลดความเสี่ยงจากภัยพิบัติ เป็นต้น

เอกอัครราชทูตผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจำอาเซียน ณ กรุงจาการ์ตา ได้แจ้งที่ประชุมทราบถึงผลการประชุม Canada-ASEAN Business Forum ครั้งที่ 2 ซึ่งจัดขึ้นที่ประเทศไทยระหว่างวันที่ 18-19 มีนาคม 2558 ซึ่งเป็นโอกาสให้ภาคธุรกิจของอาเซียนและแคนาดาได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นและกระชับความสัมพันธ์ด้านเศรษฐกิจ การค้าและการลงทุนระหว่างกันให้แน่นแฟ้นมากขึ้น ซึ่ง ม.ร.ว. ปรีดิยาธร เทวกุล รองนายกรัฐมนตรี นาย Ed Fast รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการค้าระหว่างประเทศแคนาดา และนายเล เลือง มินห์ เลขาธิการอาเซียน ได้เข้าร่วมการประชุมดังกล่าวด้วย
 

On 20 April 2015, H.E. Mr. Chombhala Chareonying, Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN attended the 3^rd ASEAN-Canada Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) Meeting, at the ASEAN Secretariat, Jakarta.

The ASEAN-Canada JCC meets annually and is an important mechanism to follow-up and review cooperation between ASEAN and Canada. At the Meeting, both sides exchanged views on ways to promote ASEAN-Canada Dialogue relations, especially in key areas relating to ASEAN connectivity, trade and investment as well as disaster risk reduction.

In this connection, Ambassador Chombhala briefed the Meeting on the outcome of the 2^nd ASEAN-Canada Business Forum, held in Bangkok, Thailand on 18-19 March 2015. This Forum provided a great opportunity for ASEAN and Canada’s private sectors to exchange views on strengthening ASEAN-Canada economic, trade and investment ties. H.E.M.R. Pridiyathorn Devakula, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, H.E. Mr. Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade of Canada and H.E. Mr. Le Luong Minh, Secretary-General of ASEAN were also present at the Forum.
